It’s time for the final installment of our Meet the Operations Team series! In this article, we’ll meet the teams that make up the biggest chunk of the ops department: help desk, field service and monitoring.
These teams are at the core of what we do. They spend their days resolving client issues and watching for things that could become issues.
We have a lot of names and faces to introduce in this article, so let’s jump right in!
Help Desk
Our help desk team members are on the front lines, answering your phone calls and emails in real-time. Their fast and friendly service helps make the world go ‘round here at Innovative.
Tony Cordone
Tony started at Innovative in 2017. He enjoys spending time with the other techs in the tech room and takes pride in helping clients resolve their issues. While his job requires him to do a little bit of everything, Tony likes to refine his client service skills.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing drums in a black metal band and playing competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Adam Goldman
Joining Innovative in 2022, Adam likes the opportunity his job provides him to work with and learn different aspects of technology.
“You quickly become a Swiss Army Knife working here,” Adam said.
Outside of work, Adam likes to skateboard, hang out with his son and play video games. He even won the Super Smash Bros. tournament here at Innovative two years in a row! We have quite a collection of Smash players.
Julian Jones
Next up is Julian. He started here in September 2021 on the project team. His favorite part of Innovative is getting to work with awesome and intelligent people every day.
“I have made many amazing friendships with a diverse group of people,” Julian said.
Beyond work, he loves listening to and making music (especially rap/hip hop), practicing martial arts and watching arthouse films.
Kelly McGill
Kelly recently joined Innovative in August 2023, starting out on our help desk. Her favorite part of working at Innovative so far is the supportive and friendly environment.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys snowboarding and playing video games. Welcome to the team!
Thomas Sheasley
Thomas joined Innovative in late 2021. His favorite part of working here is the way our team cares for each other, not just professionally but personally as well.
His hobbies outside of work include video games, video editing, Dungeons and Dragons (DnD), but mostly being a father. Shoutout to all of our Innovative dads!
Field Service
When your business has an issue that needs to be addressed on-site, a field service team member will be there to fix it. This team is always on the go and might contain some more familiar faces, as they’re the ops team members who help clients in person.
Scott Elwood
Scott was actually with Innovative all the way back in 2014 when he interned for a semester. He officially signed on in June 2022. His favorite part of his job is the amount of technology he gets to troubleshoot.
“It’s hard to have a boring day when there is something to learn,” Scott said.
Outside of work, Scott is a retro video game collector. He owns over 800 video games that span from the late 1990s all the way to today. That’s an impressive collection!
Andrew Lindberg
Andrew joined Innovative in 2022, and his favorite part of working here is the team!
“We all mesh very well, and I can say I’ve never worked somewhere that truly feels like a well-oiled machine,” Andrew said. “We all seem to have similar hobbies, so we also have plenty of fun outside of work, too.”
Having worked in the parking industry for about seven years, some refer to Andrew as our parking expert. His hobbies outside of work include 3D printing and design, camping, off-roading and helping friends with their YouTube channel DnD backstory.
David McKee
One of our newer employees, David McKee, started here in 2023. His favorite part of his job is developing friendships with clients.
David enjoys building and flying drones, 3D printing, playing with his dog and riding his OneWheel.
David Stillwell
Another David! David Stillwell started at Innovative in the spring of 2022 as our copy and print technician. His favorite part of working here is the people, culture and that he enjoys what he’s doing.
David enjoys gaming, building PCs and mountain biking when he isn’t out in the field helping with printers and copiers.
Jennifer Young
Jennifer joined Innovative in 2019. She says she has many favorite things about working here: the culture, the job itself and the clients she works with, to name a few.
“Working for a company where your opinion matters and you’re not just a number is just so valuable, in my opinion,” Jennifer said. “My colleagues are like my second family. Everyone is amazingly supportive, and I honestly can’t see myself working anywhere else.”
Outside of work, Jennifer is a self-proclaimed “crazy plant and cat lady” who loves spending time with her family. She’s also studying to obtain her degree. Amazing!
Monitoring
This team works behind the scenes to ensure our clients’ networks run smoothly. Our monitoring team includes our Network Operations Center (NOC), which looks to catch issues before they cause problems for the end user. Their proactive approach helps save a lot of headaches for our clients and the rest of the team.
Drew Boram
Drew joined the company back in 2018 as a help desk member. In 2020, he joined our NOC and became part-time while returning to school to finish his computer science degree, which he obtained in 2022.
His favorite part of working here is hanging with coworkers and attending our “Mandatory Fun” outings. Currently, Drew spends a lot of his time on the cybersecurity side of things. Outside of work, he’s into learning about new technologies, playing Skyrim and Fallout 4 and going out shopping to bargain hunt.
Dean Leib
In 2013, Dean joined Innovative as a field tech. Now, he’s a jack of all trades for our monitoring team. His favorite part of the company is the culture and the people.
When Dean is outside of work, he enjoys traveling, playing golf and doing some outdoor cooking.
Cody Westwood
Cody interned with Innovative in 2013-2014, then officially joined the team in 2016. He currently does a lot of work managing clients’ backups and disaster recovery when needed.
“My favorite part of working at Innovative is working for a company that truly cares about their employees and keeping us happy,” Cody said.
Outside work, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, hanging with friends and family and listening to live music.
Micah Yeager
Micah joined Innovative back in 2017. Their favorite part of working here is that there’s always something new to figure out.
Micah currently spends a lot of their time creating and developing solutions that address our clients’ specific needs, as well as web development.
Outside of work, Micah enjoys playing video games and spending time with their spouse, friends and family.
